Previous data are conflicting, perhaps due to lack of accounting for differential bowel patterns in IBS (constipation vs. diarrhea) or by diverse methodologies used to measure autonomic function. Our aim was to determine if autonomic response differed between IBS subtypes and healthy controls. |
