Target Audience

This enduring activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, urogynecologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses involved in the care of patients with fecal incontinence.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Describe the latest evidence regarding the pathophysiology of fecal incontinence

Discuss evidence regarding emerging nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic therapies for patients with refractory fecal incontinence
